August Photo Walk – MFO Park

Finally! Corona and the insane weather that has been keeping summer away from Switzerland allowed us to have another amazing photo walk. Models and Photographers were once again united at the MFO Park, an amazing location for photographing architecture, street, portraits and – so I’ve heard – it is great even without a camera. Green and metal coinhabit the venue, lots of stairs and levels make it an amazing maze to explore and photograph, the view from the top (and the sunset) are nothing short of great.

This photo walk happened almost exactly one year after last years’ meeting at the same location. Once again, we had a great time and enjoyed the late afternoon while meeting friends and capturing gorgeous images.

If you joined as a photographer, please, PLEASE PLEASE do send each model you photographed some carefully selected and beautifully edited images, it is our “payment” for having them come and make our photo walk more fun.

September’s Photo Walk is already in the works, the last details are almost set and I’ll publish them soon to our Meetup group. Don’t take too long to RSVP or you might risk not getting a spot, as they will again be limited. Some asked me why I limit the number of photographers: I try to keep a reasonable models/photographers ratio so it is pleasant to all and we don’t end up with 30 photographers and 2 models (again).

Next Tuesday we will meet online and show/discuss some of the photos from the photo walk, please join us and share your impressions and images, you can get an idea of how this goes in our quite extensive archive with 60+ previous meetings. If you so desire, post some images to our Facebook group and let’s have a small constructive photo critique. Together we learn more and it is more fun. We will also discuss some new ideas for the meetings and activities in our group. If you have any ideas, suggestions or would like to change something, please shoot me a message, I’d love your feedback.

I will be reviving the less-then-bi-monthly newsletter, the idea is to show a little of what happened lately in our group and my photography work, share whatever knowledge fits in that content and make sure you get to know what is coming soon.
