- Industry News: Sony released the A7C, a much smaller but still very capable Full-frame mirrorless camera.
- FREE Learning and Videos (documentaries, videos, fun and educational sources)
- COOPH: Inspirational Ideas to pump your creative juices. This time they brought some tips to break some of the so-called “rules of photography”.
- PTC brought a very informative video explaining the differences between saturation and vibrance and, even more important, how and when to use each one.

Next Photowalks
As we discussed previously, we will do two different Photowalks from now on. One will keep the old ways and always be free, we will roam around some nice location close to/at Zürich, the other one will be to a smaller group and I’ll make sure we have models and I’ll offer guidance and assistance if anyone needs/wants it.
Free Photowalk
On 29th of September we will meet for the next #Photowalk, this time going back to the very roots of our group: a group of fun-and-like-minded photographers going around and having a blast while shooting the amazing opportunities Zürich and CH offer us. The last time was so much fun, you can see all the photos and comments in our Facebook Group or the Blog Posts about it.

Next Activities in Our Group
OUR BOOK
We spoke in details about our book project and it is taking shape. Watch the end of the video to see the full discussion or read below for the main topics and decisions.
The material we discussed can be seen/downloaded here.
We will produce a book with the photos we took during/for our activities during 2020 and preserve some good memories from this crazy and unforgettable year. Regardless if it was a photo from the #lockdown assignments or from the photowalks, we will collect and select some of the gems we produced during this year and produce a book, which should be ready in December. With the book ready, we will get together to see it and celebrate the good times we had during this year’s tough ride.
Part 1: Who We Are
Each photographer will have a double page with:
- Self-portrait or a very good photo of her/him
- one selected photo that depicts what she/he likes the most, probably the “most favorite” photo she/he took during 2020
- link to social media
- a quote, something she/he likes or says, related to photography or not
- p: what is the greatest passion in photography
- c: what was the photography challenge posed during 2020
Part 2: The Group
A description of the group, where to find us, what kind of activities we did/do/will do and more.
Part 3: Each Photographers Photos
Each participant will have 4 pages (2 consecutive double pages) and will be free to include as many and whatever photos she/he wants. Each one needs to find the layout that best suits her/his style and has to send me the layout and the full-res photos so I can put it all together.
We will keep the photographers in alphabetical order, according to the family name.
Outcomes:
We will have a digital version and a printed one, I’ll try to get various quotes to ensure we have the best price for all of us.
As the book gets ready we will get together for an apero and celebrate not only the book, but the new friends and all the things we’ve done during this crazy year.
