When we see the amazing pictures of wild life there is only glamour and coolness to them, isn’t it? But sometimes behind the lenses there is a very brave (and maybe extremely frightened photographer).
Check the videos below from 1974 documentary from Dieter Plage, featuring Adrien Deschryver, a Belgian photographer and conservarionist. There is a specially dangerous and amazingly thrilling sequence, when he took a baby gorilla to the jungle to “adjust to the habitat”. The gorillas noticed the little one and headed towards Adrien. Wow that must have been intense. Do you think you would survive that trial? Can you stand still and just submit to the Silverback alpha male? And I thought some of my previous bosses were scary…
On the second video the “don’t move” thing is again tested to the extreme. See for yourself and tell me if you can honestly do it.
