Background Information
In 2020 Corona had us all grounded and we made the best we could during the lockdown, including meeting new amazing people on our online meetings and producing some great images together. As a memory of the craziest year in a generation (or some), we put together a magazine with the images we produced as a group, remotely or together, when it was allowed and safe.
Well, another year comes to an end and we will follow up on that success and create version 2021 of that publication. The goal is to have a physical memory of amazing moments that happened during the year, regardless if they were captured in our meetings, on your own walks and even on the other side of the tiny Earth marble.
The Concept
The idea is very open and flexible, each participating person will have a set number of pages to fill as she or he sees fit. Paintings, drawings, photos, it doesn’t matter how you express your artsy side, just make sure we put it out to the world.
The magazine is in A4 portrait format and the number of pages is limited, which will also limit the number of participants and influence the final cost.
A suggestion on how to prepare your content would be:
Pages 1 and 2
Left side:
- some information about you and maybe a gorgeous image of yourself
- contact information
- A small bio
- A quote you like
- Your passion in Photography
- Greatest CHallenge in 2021
- What was great in 2021?
- Plans for 2022?
- Grandma’s best Turkey recipe ever… you name it

Pages 3 and 4
A selection of the images that you liked the most, marked you, are special for whatever reason. And feel free to share in a few words the reasons for putting each image there!
Actually, if you want to put older photos, nobody is going to check the time stamp on the file…
What
It may sound simple but putting this together can be “a little” challenging, so each participant must deliver the images in high resolution, which means at 300dpi in the final size that will be printed. If in doubt, just send me a huge image and I’ll adjust it as needed.
You also need to deliver the layout you envision with all your images distributed on the pages exactly as you want to have them in the magazine. You can do this in any software you are more comfortable with, from inDesign to Powerpoint and MS Paintbrush (good luck if you try the latter)

- design your amazing layout
- send me all of those: the layout for your pages and your images in 300dpi
When
The goal is to have the magazines delivered in early 2022 at the latest, so I’ll have to be a little like an overzealous teacher and pick on you about the deadlines. All materials need to be delivered by November 29th. I will need time to verify it all and edit all the photos, so it will certainly be a couple of days before I can check all files and notice eventual problems.
As soon as the file is ready, it will be sent to the printing company and then it will depend on them. I will write to all participants as soon as they arrive. If you sign up for the newsletter, you will be among the first to know about new projects such as this and about the arrival of our babies.
Who
This project is open to anyone who wants to participate. Do you know someone who might be interested? Invite this person and let’s increase our team! Photos, drawings, sketches, paintings… Whatever form or Art tickles your neurons!
How

How Much
The final value will depend on how many participants we have. It is estimated between 25.- to 35.- Francs + shipping expenses.
